Rice-planting season

Half of the rice field is waiting to be planted. This photo was taken at Hacienda Luisita, Tarlac, while the bus was running on its way to Subic Bay during my kids' fieldtrip to Ocean Adventures early December. Hacienda Luisita is mainly owned by the family of the late first lady president of the Philippines, Mrs. Corazon Cojuangco Aquino.

Planting season for rice is vastly determined and affected by irrigation factors. Whereas before, planting season normally starts during the rainy season, there is now no regular season for planting rice. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

Thanks, Mel, for sharing that background. Glad there's irrigation system now.
